Jason Race

Jason Race is a financial management and business development professional who serves organizations that develop and manage affordable housing, such as Housing Authorities and private nonprofit corporations, by providing them with financial management, strategic development, and general management consulting services.

Jason actively works with Executive Directors of Housing Authorities and other Low Income Housing owners and operators to develop business strategies for future housing development, organizational restructuring, and compliance changes. Jason has experience with financial management of many affordable housing programs, including Public Housing, Section 8, Family Self-Sufficiency, Project Based Rental Assistance, & Low Income Housing Tax Credits. Jason helps his clients procure outside services and form strategic partnerships to streamline services, cut costs, and develop revenue streams.

Jason holds the following professional certifications: Public Housing Manager (PHM), Certified Manager of Maintenance (CMM), Tax Credit Compliance Manager (TCCM), Tax Credit Specialist (TCS), Blended Occupancy Specialist (BOS), Project-Based Voucher Specialist, and Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP).

Jason also holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Rollins College and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Illinois.

Lisa White

Lisa White is a financial management and business development professional who serves organizations that develop and manage affordable housing, such as Housing Authorities and private nonprofit corporations, by providing them with financial management, strategic development, and general management consulting services.

Lisa actively works with Executive Directors of Housing Authorities and other Low Income Housing owners and operators to develop business strategies to maximize revenue streams, streamline operational processes in order to minimize expenses, improve financial reporting outputs, and prepare for new developments. Lisa has experience with financial management of many affordable housing programs, including Public Housing, Section 8, Project Based Rental Assistance, & Low Income Housing Tax Credits.

Lisa holds the following professional certifications: Public Housing Manager (PHM), Certified Credit Compliance Professional (C3P), Family Self Sufficiency Specialist, HCV Executive Manager, and Multifamily Housing Specialist.

Lisa also holds both a Bachelor’s and Master’s of Science Degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Dawn Shryock

Dawn Shryock is a Senior Accountant who provides financial management to our clients by reviewing accounts for accuracy, recording monthly entries, making reclassifications when necessary, reconciling accounts, maintaining general ledgers, and providing monthly financial statements.

With a background as a CPA and then a Controller in higher education, Dawn’s first exposure with the affordable housing market has left her very impressed. Specifically, she recognizes the Low Income Housing Tax Credit system as a means to meet the needs of tenants by encouraging investment in affordable housing. Dawn is proud of her involvement in this industry and the ability Bedrock Housing Consultants has to allow numerous properties to benefit from the assistance and expertise they might not otherwise be able to reasonably obtain.

In total, Dawn has worked 30+ years in bookkeeping, accounting, and auditing. This brings an invaluable perspective to the team. As a result of her experience as an auditor, she understands what auditors want, can explain a client’s stand, and is able to question audit findings if necessary.

Dawn passed the CPA exam in 2003 and holds a Bachelor’s of Arts in Accountancy from University of Illinois, graduating Magna Cum Laude.

Kurt Dixon

 Kurt Dixon is a Senior Accountant who provides financial management to our clients through a strong understanding of accounting principles. Kurt has experience in assisting Public Housing Authorities to maximize returns on their HCV programs and is well versed in financial reporting required by HUD.

Kurt knows that attention to detail is critical in providing financial management and strives to have an in-depth level of understanding of each client’s operation.

Kurt began his career in public accounting with experience in the non-profit industry. He then transitioned into accounting management within the manufacturing industry. He enjoys problem solving and critical thinking, making him a great new asset to the team.

Kurt has been a licensed CPA since 2018 and holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University.

Macy Kuhl

Macy Kuhl is a Staff Accountant who provides financial management and general consulting services  to Housing Authorities and owners of Low-Income Housing Tax Credit projects by assisting with monthly general ledger closeout, financial statement preparation, and implementing software. Macy also uses her knowledge of the affordable housing industry to complete LIHTC file audits, compliance checks, investor reporting, and new project development.

With her experience as a former Affordable Housing Manager, Macy can see things from our client’s perspective and uses her knowledge to rectify issues at the source.

Macy is passionate about affordable housing and believes that communities flourish when its members have access to safe and affordable housing.

Macy holds a Bachelor’s degree of Science in Accountancy from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville as well as professional certifications as a Tax Credit Specialist, Tax Credit Specialist Advanced, and Fair Housing Specialist.

Caitlin Winterbauer

Caitlin Winterbauer is a Housing Administration Specialist who assists staff in providing financial management, strategic development, and other general management consulting services.

Caitlin knows that proper coordination and execution of procedures is crucial to an organization and the clients they serve. With her time in the affordable housing industry and 6+ years in office administration, Caitlin is always ready to use her knowledge to make sure our clients are supported. She is excited to be part of a team that is focused on the betterment of affordable housing and growth for their clients.

Caitlin is a certified Fair Housing and Tax Credit Specialist.

Chandra Hall

Chandra Hall is a Staff Accountant. Prior to Bedrock Housing Consultants, she worked in finance and accounting for 9 years at a public housing authority. She has experience working with the financial aspect of the Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, and FSS programs.  She was integral to the day-to-day operations of the finance department, including monthly HCV check run, month-end and year-end closeout, audit preparation, and payroll.

Chandra has an Associates Degree in Accounting and the following professional certifications: Certified Occupancy Specialist, Certified Occupancy Specialist - Advanced, Certified Occupancy Specialist- Voucher, Tax Credit Specialist, And Blended Occupancy Specialist.
